Options Catalunya-Nepal organizes affective-sexual education, menstrual hygiene and abuse prevention workshops with a rights approach, aimed mainly at girls and young people. The workshops promote the knowledge of the body itself, respectful relationships, consent and menstrual health, as well as the detection and prevention of situations of violence, contributing to the empowerment and protection of their rights.
UPASHA
A year ago, the Options Catalunya Nepal association offered financial support to the Upasha so that it could open a small tea shop in its neighborhood.
Since then, this 33-year-old Nepalese serves about a hundred teas every day to the neighbors and merchants of the area. She prepares the teas herself carefully, while her husband distributes them to different customers.
Thanks to this initiative, the Upasha has not only created its own workplace, but also contributes to the economic dynamism of its neighborhood and the improvement of the living conditions of its family.
Since 2018 Options Catalunya-Nepal has organized workshops to promote empathization in diversity and global citizenship, aimed mainly at students in the 4th year of ESO. These workshops foster attitudes of respect, understanding and valuation of different cultures, raise awareness of human rights, equality and global justice, and encourage active and responsible participation to build more inclusive and supportive societies.
The Education and scholarships project supports Nepalese girls and young people in vulnerable situations so that they can continue their training beyond secondary education and access real opportunities for personal and professional autonomy.
