SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Education, rights and empowerment of girls and young people in Nepal
What is the project?
The sexual and reproductive health project aims to ensure that girls and young people in Nepal have reliable information, safe spaces and practical tools to know their own body, protect their health and exercise their rights.
The project is promoted by Options Catalunya-Nepal and is developed through educational workshops on affective-sexual education, menstrual hygiene and abuse prevention, with an approach based on human rights, gender and protection.
Educate to take care of oneself, protect oneself and decide freely.

In Nepal, many girls and young people continue to face:l
-
ack of information on sexual and reproductive health,
-
difficulties in expressing limits and consent,
-
and risk of violence, abuse or early marriage.

Impact and results
Monitoring, evaluation and annual report
In Options Catalunya-Nepal we work with the commitment to transparency, quality and continuous improvement. The Sexual and Reproductive Health project incorporates a monitoring and evaluation system that allows measuring both the scope of the activities and the changes in knowledge, attitudes and capacities of the participating girls and young people.
This tracking system allows:
-
analyze participation in affective-sexual education workshops,
-
evaluate the increase in knowledge about one’s own body, menstrual health and sexual and reproductive rights,
-
identify changes in the perception of consent, respectful relationships and the prevention of violence,
-
collect learning and improve the pedagogical and culturally appropriate approach of the workshops.
In this space we publish the annual report of the project, where they are collected:
-
the main activities and workshops carried out (affective-sexual education, menstrual hygiene, prevention of abuse),
-
the number of girls, young people and participating centers,
-
the results and changes observed in knowledge and attitudes,
-
the challenges identified and methodological learning,
-
and the responsible and transparent use of available resources.
